Commencement

 Yesterday we graduated from our SoulCollage® facilitator training! WOOT! We were warmly welcomed into the net of over 6000 facilitators in 64 countries! 

The month of our training has gone by both quickly and slowly - what a enriching experience! I've met some lovely friends along the way, and am excited about the many ways to deepen and connect, built into the World of SoulCollage® Community. 

Card Spiral and Sweetgrass 

A few years after beginning to create cards in 2008, I joined the KaleidoSoul community (on Yahoo!). I joined again last summer, and added a couple of Anne Marie Bennett's SoulCollage®, books to my collection in the fall. I'm writing an article, to be included in the March issue of Soul Songs, and have marked several of her meditations as seeds for future classes.

Recently, I found out out local facilitator Leo Sheerin has moved to Vermont! I visited his gallery and studio on our local Art Harvest tour several years ago, and hoped to meet for tea after graduation. Chatting with my friend Theresa last week, I discovered she also has a SoulCollage® deck, and took one of Leo's classes, whilst he was living here!

One of the questions on our Application was - What do you hope to do as a SoulCollage® facilitator?

I've offered monthly creative circles since 2015, pivoting to meeting virtually twice monthly during lockdown in 2020. The SoulCollage® sessions my SiStars have offered to our circle have been well received. I'm scheduled to lead our next session on Loving Ourselves, February 12th.

My virtual creative circle co-facilitator Cindy Jacobs offers several classes each year, centered around personal growth using SoulCollage®. Susan Conrad Risse and my Color of Woman classmate Valerie Kravette have offered several SoulCollage® sessions for our virtual group, each brings her own flavor to their offerings.

Several local folks have mentioned interest in classes and circles - it's an easy access medium appealing to folks with a range of skills and interests. Working with our cards offers ways to explore our inner landscapes. The SoulCollage® community echos the interactive web of our inner and outer world.

My piano teacher, Marion Coe, reminded her students that to Commence is to Begin - I'm looking forward to beginning this next phase of my journey with SoulCollage®!

Reset - Red Thread Circle

  As a group of us prepare  to sift stagnant energy in  our homes, you're invited to set your intention for your space and a bit of Reset.  In our Intentional art community, we set intention in a Red Thread ceremony.  This is  a way to connect as a respectful, mutually supportive group, and begin to inter-weave the threads of our stories.  Red Thread circle The Red Thread has a profound capacity for connecting hearts and minds around what matters. When we face a challenge, we "tug on the Red Thread" as a reminder we aren't alone, and may tap into this web of support. Be the Reason

  Today my friends Donna and Marvin invited me to join then on an road trip adventure, and we headed North to Hood River and the Harvest Fest! An Abundance of Produce It was a blustery, rainy day, but Multnomah falls was beautiful as always, and the weather cleared 'just in time' when we arrived in Hood River and the fest!  Rainy day - Columbia River  We had fun wandering, chatting, eating (I had a gluten free enchilada and corn on the cob, Donna had a braut with saurkraut and potato salad) and visiting.  There were many great vendors, and delightful mini conversations!  Business Card blessing And - so many smiles were exchanged!  They cost nothing, and are so appreciated!  More than once, we heard, " you made my day !"
