Soul Friends

I was so touched to have Anne Marie Bennett feature my story in this week's KindredSpirits newsletter! It's fun to meet each other - in person or virtually! And I love hearing other folks' stories!! I'm one of those people for whom creativity is life-blood! Crafts, art, doodling in school and on blank spots on programs…. Always a bit of a butterfly, my interests / passions shift - creativity is always there in some form! I discovered SoulCollage® in 2008, and that November wrote in my blog, “With Seena Frost's book 'SoulCollage' finally in hand, I pulled out the files of images I'd been gathering & created my first SoulCollage® card!” I'd already discovered KaleidoSoul, and that winter, followed the newsletter suggestion to make a ‘Word of the Year’ card. My word for 2009 was ‘Presence’.  Presence - 2009 I made cards off and on, and was excited to sign up when GG, Glenda Goodrich, came to town to offer an afternoon of SoulCollage® in 2009. I...

Readings and Peers

It's been nearly a month since graduating from SoulCollage®  facilitator training, and I'm deepening with my own practice and community connections.   The connections included meeting my classmate Linda Minor, and attending a free 'Sneak Peak' session with Sheila Spain at a nearby library.  That week, I led my first card making session in my Red Thread Creatives circle, and finished an article about my journey for the KaleidoSoul newsletter. Drugma Dragon Eye Last week, I gathered virtually with 3 others from our class for a card Reading session.  A hallmark of SoulCollage® is that we each read our cards for ourselves , as the cards represent our own unique constellation of characters and traits.  During the training, we spent part of each session in 3 or 4 person break out rooms, and did readings, each drawing on our own inner wisdom.   During a reading, we rotate roles: Reader Scribe Witness & hold space for each other. The Scribe draw...

Application sent!

I did it! On Monday, I enrolled in the January 2026 SoulCollage®, facilitator training with Mariabruna Sirabella!  I'm excited to spend a 'Month of Sundays' (and Wednesdays) delving into Facilitation of this fascinating practice!  Part of the enrollment is to write a little personal history with SoulCollage: When and how did you learn about SoulCollage®? I got a copy of Seena's earlier book in 2008, and made my first card in November of that year. What SoulCollage® workshops have you attended and which Facilitators have you worked with? My first in person class was with Glenda Goodrich in about 2009. Several of us gathered a bit later - with kids - to make cards in Kerrie Savage's home. Our friend Heidi had attended a workshop at Breitenbush, and was excited to make more cards! Around 2010, I was a member of the KaleidoSoul community (on Yahoo!), and recently added a couple of Anne Marie Bennett's SoulCollage®, books to my collection! Notebook and SoulCollag...

Archetypes - Council Suit

This SoulCollage® suit is the 'Council of Archetypes.' The word Archetype comes from the Greek 'archetypos,' meaning 'first of is kind.'  Jung described archetypes as part of the  'collective unconscious.'  These Larger than Life figures are Universal, appearing over the centuries in many cultures, lands and stories.  We create Council Cards for these archetypal Figures who guide our lives. They can provide the inspiration and wisdom we need to understand ourselves, and perhaps make better choices! Seena called these beings ' Neters' - a word used by the Egyptians for cosmic beings and qualities. From the description on the KaleidoSoul site: we build this suit  "with openness and reverence, following our intuition and allowing the images we are drawn to reveal themselves to us when we are ready."  Wisdom Seena Frost described Archetypes as, 'the invisible guides, challengers, creators and destroyers, know across time and cultur...

Happy Mail

In September, I received a surprise package of Soul Collage materials in the mail, and I was so HAPPY ! I had recently joined the KaleidoSoul community, and my name was chosen for a goodie packs! Mine included collage images, mat board, and a travel bag for cards.  Around the same time, my friend Valerie sent me a collection of SoulCollage® CDs, as she's been clearing physical stuff! This was  a treat for both of us   (& I paid the postage) Happy Mail from Anne Marie This summer our pastor put out a call for art, which was then printed on postcards.  Congregants received a couple of cards, and were invited to write one during the service.  Our summer theme was letters to the early churches, usually encouragement - and offered inspiration. Each Sunday, someone would share a story of Mail they'd received - a special letter, a stack of correspondence from college, ... Happy Mail Cards: my Neurodoodles; Clouds - JoAnne, Moths - Linette  You're invit...

Word of the Year

In December 2008, I saw a post in the KaleidoSoul group on using SoulCollage to choose a Word for 2009. Over the years, I've often done a creative process to celebrate the shift from one year, and inspiration for the next.   Presence - Word of the Year 2009 After creating the card, the word that came was  " PRESENCE"  Shortly after creating the card, I pulled an Angel card (from the Transformation Game ) & it was . . . PRESENCE !  OK, OK!!   'Presence' is one of the newer cards added to the Angel card deck, on the 25th anniversary of the creation of the original deck, & shows an angel in a shower of light.  Here's a wonderful interview with Transformation game Creatrix, Joy Drake, if you'd like to hear about it's creation and subsequent evolution as a tool for insights and shift. Created in 1975, it's as meaningful half a century later!!  Presence  -  I AM one who shines forth my crystalline being!  I am one who is...
