 I did it!

On Monday, I enrolled in the January 2026 SoulCollage®, facilitator training with Mariabruna Sirabella!

I'm excited to spend a 'Month of Sundays' (and Wednesdays) delving into Facilitation of this fascinating practice!

Part of the enrollment is to write a little personal history with SoulCollage:

When and how did you learn about SoulCollage®?

I got a copy of Seena's earlier book in 2008, and made my first card in November of that year.

What SoulCollage® workshops have you attended and which Facilitators have you worked with?

My first in person class was with Glenda Goodrich in about 2009. Several of us gathered a bit later - with kids - to make cards in Kerrie Savage's home. Our friend Heidi had attended a workshop at Breitenbush, and was excited to make more cards!

Around 2010, I was a member of the KaleidoSoul community (on Yahoo!), and recently added a couple of Anne Marie Bennett's SoulCollage®, books to my collection!

Notebook and SoulCollage books
In 2023, Leo Sheerin's studio was on our local Art Harvest tour, and my friend Audrey and I had a long chat with him on art, life and SoulCollage! He mentioned several Facilitators stopped by during the tour.

Throughout our October BlogBoost, I shared some of this year's experiences: our annual Word of the Year session in January inclluded creating a Card.

My virtual creative circle co-facilitator Cindy Jacobs graduated from SC Facilitator training mid winter, and throughout 2025, has offered a virtual session to deepen with our Word of the Year each month.

I was also in Cindy's 8 session 'Creative Resilience' class - making and 'meeting' a card each week, plus doing another creative project. Susan Conrad Risse and Valerie Kravette have offered several SoulCollage® sessions for our Red Thread Creatives group, and Valerie passed on a stack of SC CDs!

Horse 💙 Neter - wall hanging!
The 1st of October, I had in person Coaching Session with my original teacher Glenda Goodrich at her Down to Earth Studio, and we went over the Key and Fundamental concepts per the prerequisites. We allowed time to make Neter and journal. I joined KaleidoSoul again this year, and have attended several of the monthly offerings and played in the archives. So many resources!!

What do you hope to do as a SoulCollage® facilitator?

I've offered monthly creative circles since 2015, going virtual and 2x month in 2020. The SoulCollage® sessions seem well received, and local folks want to get together.

I've already been asked to co-facilitate our Word Of The Year session at Church in January. I like Cindy's idea of deepening with our Word throughout the year, and pastor Erika loves creative offerings. I also include creative practices in my Reiki workshops

The whole SoulCollage® community seems so welcoming and encouraging, echoing the interactive web of qualities and intention behind cards! I'm looking forward to deepening with the process!

Morning friendly Space

In a recent podcast , Feng Shui maven Amanda Gibby Peters offers ways to set ourselves up for success in our endeavors by setting routines and areas that support them. Amanda often shares tips for boosting our homes positive energy - these are simple to implement - and you may already i n place!  Early in the year, many folks reevaluate what's working and what we'd like to improve and achieve in the year ahead. Our surroundings can support implementing these intentions.  Vision board -2025 Put your home to bed . I've written before,  that 'tidy folks' often take 'walk throughs' several times a day - putting things away, disposing trash, and tending little things that need doing. Doing the last walk through before bed helps set space for the day ahead, and streamline morning routines. Optimize your bedroom . Is it a dumping ground for extra things? Do you have a system for clothes that can be reworn? ( The 'floor-drobe' isn't the best option!)  ...

Reset - Red Thread Circle

As a group of us prepare  to sift stagnant energy in  our homes, you're invited to set your intention for your space and a bit of Reset.  In our Intentional art community, we set intention in a Red Thread ceremony.  This is  a way to connect as a respectful, mutually supportive group, and begin to inter-weave the threads of our stories.  Red Thread circle The Red Thread has a profound capacity for connecting hearts and minds around what matters. When we face a challenge, we "tug on the Red Thread" as a reminder we aren't alone, and may tap into this web of support. Participants are invited to gather Red Thread, embroidery floss or ribbon, journal, and pour a cup of tea as we begin.    Can you imagine your space as a living Altar?  What is your intention for this cycle? What old stories do you tell yourself about your home? How will you reward your progress? What's your first action step? Take some time to journal on any of these inquir...

What is Soul Collage?

A day or so ago, my daughter asked, 'what is Soul Collage?' ... here's the elevator pitch: Soul Collage cards combine several images, usually from magazines and calendars, assembled and glued onto a card baking. We usually don't include words on the cards, inviting the image to inform is.  The size is either 5×7" or 5x8" - large enough for several images, small enough to work with easily.  When a card is finished, the creator uses several journal prompts to "meet" the cards, and to receive information and insights from the images we've chosen.  The cards represent different aspects of ourselves and of the community around us.  After making several cards, we can use them as we might any oracle deck, consulting or own inner wisdom. We can use them for daily inspiration, or random 'readings.' We can journal more when a card comes up ... In Soul Collage Evolving, founder Seena Frost writes, " The process of selecting images and maki...
